Mom's incredible Apple PIE

This is my mom's apple pie recipe and there is not a better one out there. Period.

Apple

1 box pillsbury pie crust (makes 2 pie crusts

     Top and bottom)

About 6 cups of peeled and sliced apples (they shrink so It will look like too many)

2 tablespoons flour

3/4 cup of suger

3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Mix all ingredients.  Lay bottom crust in pie tin (I use glass) and fill with ingredients.  Slice 6 pieces of butter (little smaller than a patty) and place on top of apples (one on top in the middle other 5 surrounding).  Place top crust go around edge with fork.  Take fork and stab (lol) crust 5 times.  Slightly sprinkle with suger and cinnamon.

Heat oven 425.  Bake 40 to 45 minutes.  I check the pie at this time if you stick a toothpick in it and it slides in very easy apples are done.  I’m fussy, I don’t like my apples tough/hard Watch your edges you don’t want them to burn.  Add tin foil to edge if needed.  I do just a tad bit longer, I like my apples very well done.
