Malted Waffles by J-Money aka Justin Guenther

Justin’s Malted Waffles

What you Need:

3 Eggs
2 tbsp Vanilla Extract
2 cups milk
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp Malt Powder (King Arthur Non-diastatic)
1/2 cup corn flour (Bob’s Red Mill)
3 cups buttermilk
4 cups all-purpose white flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
3 tsp Baking Powder

In medium bowl add eggs, extract, milt, salt, sugar, malt powder & corn flour.  Mix well. Add buttermilk and white flour. If needed - Add a bit flour or milk to reach perfect medium batter consistency. Too thin batter WILL cause sticking. Finally,  add baking soda and baking powder. Mix well.


Cook for 3 minutes - makes 8-10 waffles. For pancakes use an additional 1/2 cup milk.
