Veggie Burgers by Colleen Guenther

I don't know about you, but even as a vegetarian, I crave a juicy burger. And not the ones with mushrooms and eggplant. It seems as though those who do not eat vegetarian always wants to serve one of those two things no matter what the dish is. Tip to the wise, vegetarians eat other things too;) So I asked myself, why deprive myself of such an amazing thing? Are you with me? I recently came across a new vegetarian ground beef called GIMME LEAN and it. is. delicious. You can use it to make all kinds of crazy cuisines including tacos, spaghetti and meatballs, dips, or what have you. It's sticks together unlike some of it's sister frozen types of veggie ground beef and believe me, they all pale in comparison to the flavor. So how do you make such a yummy thing?

What you need:
1 2oz package of Gimme Lean Ground Beef
1 small white onion finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 teaspoon thyme
2 cloves of garlic minced
dash of salt and pepper
pinch of cayenne
pinch of red pepper flakes

Directions:

Mix all of your ingredients above in a large bowl. Form into patties and sautee in olive oil until browned on each side. When finished, top with swiss cheese or any of your favorite toppings. To fancy it up even more, spice up your average ketchup with a little cayenne, red pepper and minced onion flakes. As mama used to say, Oooh Weeeee - you've got yourself a good supper!
